tomorrow's April Fool

in sermon last weekend, this particular verse still stick in my mind till today. 2 Timothy 4:17a "But the Lord stood at my side and He gave me strength...".
the words, "stood at my side" jumps at me. every moment, every where that i am at, every thing that i am doing, He is at my side, supplying strength when i need it. He is at my side, always here, never leave for a second moment. it helps me to better appreciate God's omnipresence being. He is not just looking down from heavens, but He is besides me. He is at my side when i am typing away at my work desk. He is lying besides me when i am about to doze off to sleep. He is walking/ running with me on the street. He is standing beside me, smiling, as i worship Him in one of the nexus seats.

last week i had one of the most enjoyable moments with evelyn. i went over to her place for dinner where she prepared some dishes for the night. my fav has to be her stewed chicken. my first encounter with her stewed chicken was back in poly days. trust me, she cooks very good stewed chicken. the meat, tender and smooth. toppled with some mushrooms, potatoes and carrots. ooww..carrots so sweet! thanks eve for making the night special. other dishes include salted veg soup, chilli ladyfingers, raw salad. wow! i love the dinner. we also drank some ice wine and had a bowl of cheng teng. the ice wine is nice, sweetness is just right. we talked and talked and she encouraged me in my work too, to be happy.

throughout the whole of last week too, roy and i roamed around bugis and sim lim. helped dion to search for some equipment for her company. we had kim's hokkien mee and nice bak ku tei for dinners. not forgetting mango pomelo sago too, nice!

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?

this verse has been ringing in my mind for the whole of today. i was reminded of it when we sung "at the cross" in service today.
"... neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God..." Romans 8
this week was really very fruitful one. i was very blessed by my guys' spirits and attitudes in serving God. Praise God for steven and yaoguo who did the "If Only" animation/song presentation. steven spent endless time working on the animation, while handling his schoolwork as well and yaoguo accompanied steven on msn while steven worked late into the thursday night. just 5 minutes, yaoguo msned that his sister came to know God. i am really overjoyed, really. so thankful to God. check out the "If Only" e-invite.today i also met my ex-poly friend, weini for her birthday dinner at house of ken for some ramen. it was a good catch up, she went for express manicure and we went around walk walk.

why do mondays come so fast?

after a dinner with mei es roys and livi, i am blogging now. haha. duh. i have gotten wilfred and nicole's wedding invite card!!! *yay* finally my first shepherd is getting hitched this coming april. tomorrow some of us will be meeting up to discuss on the wedding program and preparations too.
i want to thank God for providing roys his new job. he is currently doing IT programming in SCS. thank you Lord.
during sermon yesterday, shirls mentioned something like this: "coincidence is God's way of remaining anonymous." in life, there could be 1001 chances that things happen coincidentally, yet, i do believe that everything that happen in my life didnt occur without a purpose. i believe that God knows it well and He has everything in control. i do not credit to "by chance" or "luck" that things happen this way. likewise in my job, i am adapting better, because i know that God has a purpose for me in this particular job. He is a faithful God. i want to trust in His faithfulness.
we sang "how can i keep from singing" during altar call time. it was very refreshing and ministering.
How can I keep from singing Your praise
How can I ever say enough
How amazing is Your love
How can I keep from shouting Your name
I know I am loved by the King
And it makes my heart want to sing...
I can sing in the troubled times
Sing when I win
I can sing when I lose my step
And fall down again
I can sing 'cause You pick me up
Sing 'cause You're there
I can sing 'cause You hear me, Lord
When I call to You in prayer
I can sing with my last breath
Sing for I know
That I'll sing with the angels
And the saints around the throne....
as i welcome quarter two, there are many things awaiting me. jump 2008, camps, nicole's wedding preparations, spt meetings, etc... i want to experience God's tangible touch! whenever i go to meetings or conducting meetings, i want to experience God's tangible touch! i want to feel God, to know that He is in the midst of the things that i do. walk with me, God.
